Do you remember your first day at your workplace, or for that matter wherever You have had a job?

You must have memories of those first days. Do you remember the bounce in your step whilst walking thru the office lobby, shaking hands with new colleagues ,your first lunch at office and the end of your first day? The desire for it to be tomorrow, the sadness of the day ending soon. Well if only that day could be replicated in our lives every day!!

Somewhere in our day to day grind we loose focus, we get disillusioned about everything and that is when complacency starts to creep in with its accomplices.

Dreams Die First, they do so quite easily. We usually hasten its demise and abet its strangulation with or without our knowledge only to lament/brood/complain of what we lost or how things could have been IF….In a Perspective driven World , we tend to become one of the pack …never to retrospect or introspect ,which could be helpful.

Work place synergy quite often is something that we loose out on or miss.On a average of 30 % of our lifetime that we spend in jobs/workplaces ,we get trapped in the myriad world of Goal Sheets, performance, deadlines and KRA’S.

Nothing we do or try helps us in evolving to the ideal fellow worker and the Utopia of a perfect workplace remains…..

And to quote Henry Davies in Leisure:

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

More on work place synergy coming soon.
